Holiday Christmas Tree And Lighting Safety Tips

Now that Christmas tree lots are selling live trees remember some Christmas tree and outdoor light safety tips. Have a happy and fire safe Christmas season.

1. Water your tree daily if needed
2. Make sure your tree lights are in good condition, if not throw away and buy new.
3. Make sure any extension cords are in good condition and are kept out of the way so not to be a tripping hazard.

At approximately 1230 hours Sunday 4 December 2022, Tanker 7 and Engine 7 were dispatched to the 43100 block of North Megan Lane in Leonardtown for the reported house fire. While covering for the Rescue Fire Company Cambridge, MD on Thursday, Rescue Squad 7 and Christiana Fire Engine 6 took time to check out the City of Cambridge and knock out some basic Company Drills. Crews checked out some of the Historic areas of Cambridge and discussed different strategies and tactics while on the streets.
