This morning at 0554 hours, the box alarm was sounded in Solomon’s for the reported house fire. Initial callers advised a residence in the area of Swaggers Point Road was on fire. Numerous 911 calls were received and deputies from Calvert County Sheriff's Office arrived first to confirm the address.
Engine 73, Tanker 74, and Chief 7A (Rector) responded at dispatch with 11 personnel.
Units arrived to find a one story single-wide trailer with fire throughout. A defensive operation was initiated while exposures were protected. The occupants were accounted for while units operated.
Engine 73 established a secondary water supply while Tanker 74 made its way up to the scene to supply St Leonard E71.
Personnel from Hollywood assisted with fire attack and opening up the structure. Units operated for 90 minutes before the incident was scaled back.
Chief 7A (Rector) held the Solomon’s Command.
Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal is investigation the cause and origin of the incident.
