At approximately 1250 hours 3 May 2022, Rescue Squad 7 was alerted to Patuxent Beach Road and South Patuxent Beach Road for a Motor Vehicle Accident with one trapped. Rescue Squad 7 and Car 7 responded with 7 Volunteers shortly after dispatch. First arriving units from Bay District Volunteer Fire Department found a two vehicle, head-on collision, with one trapped and unconscious. Rescue Squad 7 arrived and went to work, freeing the trapped driver with the HURST Jaws of Life hydraulic extrication tools. Crews "Popped" the drivers door to remove the trapped occupant who was turned over to EMS. Once extrication was completed, Rescue Squad 7 picked up and returned to service. Chief 3 (Gould) held the Patuxent Beach Road Command.
