On Tuesday, 12 January 2021, the Department held a small Awards Ceremony for the 2020 year. Due to our policy with limited numbers for gatherings, the ceremony was only open to award recipients. It has definitely been a year for the record book and a year of learning. We have continued to respond on emergency incidents and had our share of significant incidents during 2020. We had to fine tune how we handled our day to day activities along with how we respond to incidents. We learned real quick how to conduct meetings and drills via Zoom and also found out different ways to keep our membership involved with every part of the Department. Because of all these changes and how our Department handled this new and unknown experiences, The Chief and President awarded the entire membership the Firefighter of the Year Award and the Executive and Operations Officers the Chiefs Award. Even after all the changes on how we do business and unfortunately unable to have many of our Fundraiser events. The Ladies Auxiliary was still able to present the Department a check for $30,000!!! We can't express enough, our gratitude to the Ladies Auxiliary and to the community for the continued support to our Department. Without all of you, this year could have had a different outcome. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

We are looking forward to the 2021 year and want to remind everyone to wear your mask and continue to social distance!
