Engine and Rescue Squad Run Apartment Fire in "The Park"

At 2316 hours Station 3, Station 13, Station 9, Station 6, EMS Station 39 and EMS Station 38 were dispatched to 21620 Liberty Street in Lexington Park for the Apartment Fire. At 2321 hours Station 7 was alerted to fill the assignment on the Box with the Engine and Rescue Squad. Engine 73 and Rescue Squad 7 responded with 9 volunteers shortly after dispatch.

At 2322 hours Engine 31 arrived on the scene of a 2 story apartment building with fire showing from a first floor apartment. Crews advanced attack lines to the structure to conduct an attack on the fire apartment. Units from Hollywood arrived on the scene with the Rescue Squad assigned to the second floor to check for extension and Engine 73 to assist on the first floor with opening up.

Crews from Hollywood remained on the scene for 45 minutes before being released by command. Engine 73 and Rescue Squad 7 returned to quarters at 0041 hours.
