2010 Record Setting Year for HVFD

By Firefighter Bryan Riley

January 1, 2011

2010 was a record setting year for the Hollywood Volunteers who ran 809 incidents. This beats the 2007 record year which was 803 incidents. The volunteers ran 40 Working Fires and 26 Trap/Pin Jobs. Along with running incidents the company had another successful year for the Carnival, 4th of July Celebration, and all the other fund raisers that were held at Hollywood. The company also took 1st place in the Southern Maryland Parade and Second Best Overall in the Maryland State Parade this year. Thanks to all the dedicated Volunteers who came out and supported every aspect of the Department, from running calls to Bingo's. Also thanks to Everyone who took pictures and allowed us to use them on our site, especially John Douglass and Jim Lloyd.

We hope 2011 will be as good as 2010 was to us and thanks to everyone in the community that always supports us with everything we do.

Here is a look back at 2010 in pictures.
