At 2001 hours Station 22 along with Company's 2, 7, 1, and EMS Station 29 were alerted to 40515 Beach Drive in Golden Beach for the report of a vehicle in the water and possible subjects in the water. Squad 7 responded at dispatch with 8 and soon after units from Mechanicsville were on the way as well. While responding in, information was received that it was going to be a result from a police chase and the vehicle was about twenty feet in the water behind a residence. MSU 22 was first to arrive and established the "Beach Drive Command" at 2007 hours, all units staged prior to the scene for about 15 minutes and soon after Squad 7 along with Utility 1 (Raft 1) proceeded into the scene to start operations at around 2050 hours. The crew from Squad 7 split up and two personnel suited up in the dry suits the squad carries. The crew went in to check the vehicle making sure there were no subjects in or around the vehicle. With negative results all crews assisted in removing the vehicle from the water and shortly cleared a few minutes later. Units operated on the scene for just over an hour and half before returning home.
