At 1628 hours Company 7, EMS Station 79, and Company 19 were alerted for the Motor Vehicle Collision in the 7-06 Box of Three Notch Road and Jones Wharf Road. Squad 7 arrived on the scene at 1638 hours confirming one vehicle into a telephone pole and requested SMECO. Squad 7 advised that there would be one patient and they would need to be flown out. Engine 73 was diverted from the accident scene to the landing zone which would be held at Tippetts Service Center's Ball field. Engine 73 arrived on the scene at 1647 hours, and awaited Trooper 7 which had a 10 minute ETA. At 1650 hours Ambulance 798 arrived at the landing site with one priority two patient. Trooper 7 arrived soon after and transported the patient to Prince Georges Shock Trauma. At 1730 hours all units were off the air, but not for long. At 1734 hours Company 7 were dispatched for a Commercial Building Fire at the Breton Bay Garden Apartments in Leonardtown. Company 1 arrived first and advised fire was out and the box could return to service.
