Rescue Squad Runs High Angle Rescue in California

At 1214 hours Station 9, Tower 9, Rescue Squad 3, EMS Station 38, and St. Mary's ALS were dispatched to the rear of Station 9, 45774 Fire Department Lane in California, for a High Angle Rescue. With a crew in quarters along with 2 High Angle Rope Technicians, Rescue Squad 7 responded on the call at the request of Station 9.

Units arrived on location to find a worker having a medical emergency approximately 130 feet up on a Communications Tower. As Rescue Squad 7 arrived on location, it was relayed that the other workers were going to lower the patient down to the ground. The worker was lowered down and turned over to EMS Personnel within 15 minutes of the original call.

Rescue Squad 7 cleared the scene and returned to quarters at 1241 hours.
