At 0134 hours Engine 9, Engine 3, Tower 9, Truck 3, NAS Engine 13, Engine 7, and Squad 7 were dispatched to the 22316 Three Notch Rd for a reported single vehicle into the building with the vehicle and building on fire. Engine 73 and Squad 7 responded shortly after dispatch with a total of 9 volunteers. Bystanders on the scene removed the drive from the burning vehicle and the driver was moved to a safe location.

Engine 32 arrived on location to find a single vehicle into a 2 story building with fire showing from sides Alpha and Delta on Divisions 1 and 2. The crew from Engine 32 began an exterior attack while the Officer requested the Second Alarm. The Second Alarm brought Squad 6, Engine 6, Truck 1, Engine 1, and Engine 4. Chief 3 arrived minutes later and assumed the “Three Notch Command” and advised units that this would be a defensive attack due to the building being compromised.

While EMS was evaluating the patient, it was determined that the patient was going to be “Category B Priority 2” fly-out. Engine 72 was dispatched to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church to handle the landing zone for Trooper 7. While responding, Trooper 7 requested that the patient be transported to the hanger and Engine 72 was diverted to the fire ground.

Squad 7 and Engine 73 arrived on location and assumed the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT). At 0204 hours, Command placed the fire under control. Squad 7, Engine 73, and Engine 72 were relieved from their RIT duties and went to work in the structure checking for extension and opening up the rest of the building. Units from Hollywood remained on the scene for an extensive period of time and returned to quarters at 0339 hours.
