At 1529 hours Rescue Squad 1, EMS Station 19, and EMS Station 79 were dispatched to the area of St. Andrews Church Road and Blacksmith Shop Road in Leonardtown for a Motor Vehicle Accident. Within a minute of the original dispatch the assignment was upgraded for a person trapped adding Rescue Squad 7 and St. Mary's ALS. With the Engine and Truck operating on a Structure Fire in Mechanicsville, a third crew along with the Chief responded on the Rescue Squad with a total of 5 Volunteers.

Rescue Squad 1 was first to arrive finding a single vehicle off the roadway into an embankment with one person trapped. The crew of Rescue Squad 1 started stabilizing the vehicle and evaluating the patient. Rescue Squad 7 and Chief 7 arrived on location with the crew from the Rescue Squad assisting with the extrication and Chief 7 assuming the "Command".

Both crews worked for approximately 20 minutes to extricate the patient from the vehicle. The patient was determined to be a Category A Priority 2 Patient and Trooper 7 was requested for transport to the Trauma Center. Trooper 7 landed at St. Mary's Hospital and Ambulance 388 transported the patient to the Landing Zone. The Patient was transported to Prince George's Trauma Center and all units cleared the scene.

Rescue Squad 7 returned to quarters at 1624 hours.
