Tanker and Truck Respond to Apartment Fire

At 1010 hours, Hollywood Volunteers along with Company’s 1, 2, 5 and Charles Co. 2 were alerted for a reported apartment fire at 28895 Point Lookout Road. The caller indicated there was smoke in the kitchen area of the apartment. Tanker 74 and Truck 7 responded shortly after dispatch with a total of 7 personnel. Captain 1 arrived on the scene of a one story apartment building with nothing showing from the Alpha and Bravo side.

Engine 10 arrived on the scene dropping a supply line, which Tanker 74 picked up. Tanker 74’s crew assisted with stretching a handline to the apartment where a small fire was located in the kitchen area. Truck 7’s crew assisted Engine 10 and Tanker 74’s crews with opening up and checking for extension.

The assignment was scaled back by command within 15 minutes of the dispatch and units from Hollywood cleared the call by 1108 hours.
