At 0721 hours Engine 5, Engine 1, Engine 2, Truck 7, Rescue Squad 7, Tanker 5, Tanker 1, Tanker 2, EMS Station 59, and EMS Station 19 were dispatched to 37534 River Springs Road in Avenue for the reported House Fire with people trapped. Truck 7, Rescue Squad 7, and Chief 7 responded with 11 Volunteers shortly after dispatch.

Chief 5 was first to arrive finding a one story single family home with smoke showing and establishing the Command. Engine 51 arrived next and stretched an attack line to the structure. Both occupants of the structure that were reported trapped were assisted out of the Structure. Crews found a small fire near the furnace and extinguished the same. Truck 7 arrived and assisted with overhaul and ventilation.

The assignment was scaled back to units from Station 5, Truck 7, and Ambulance 597 to complete overhaul and ventilation. The units from Station 7 returned to quarters at 0845 hours.
