Collision with Rollover and Fire

At 1855 hours Station 7, EMS Station 79, EMS Station 29, and St. Mary's ALS were dispatched to Three Notch Road and Friendship School Road for a Motor Vehicle Accident. Rescue Squad 7, Engine 72, Chief 7, and Chief 7A responded with 12 Volunteers. Prior to arrival, Communications advised that they received additional information of a vehicle overturned and now on fire.

Rescue Squad 7, Chief 7, and Chief 7A arrived on location within 3 minutes of the dispatch to find a two vehicle collision with one overturned and on fire. The Crew of Rescue Squad 7 deployed an attack line from the Squad and went to work on the auto fire. Crews located a single patient who was out of the vehicle prior to the arrival of the Fire Department and had minor injuries. Engine 72 arrived on the scene and supplied the Squad and assisted with overhaul. The fire was knocked and the assignment was scaled back to units from Station 7 and EMS Station 79.

One Patient was transported by Ambulance 798 to MedStar St. Mary's Hospital and Rescue Squad 7 and Engine 72 returned to quarters at 1936 hours.

Chief 7 held the Command.
