1st Due House Fire

At 0840 hours Engines 7, 2, 9, Tankers 2, 1, and 9, along with Truck 7, Squad 1, Water Supply 5, and EMS Stations 79, and 29 were dispatched to the address of 27050 Cat Creek Road in Sandgates for the reported House on Fire. Engine 72 was the first to arrive reporting a single family dwelling with fire showing from the Alpha Side. Engine 72 established the Cat Creek Road Command and went to work as the 1st Due Engine Co. As other units began to arrive on the scene Chief 2A arrived and assumed the command and Engine 72's OIC was reassigned as the attack group supervisor. Engine 72 and Truck 7 operated inside with units from Co. 2 and extinguished the fire within 15 minutes of arrival, and overhaul operations after that. Units from Company 7 operated on the scene for approx. 2 1/2 hours before returning to service.
