Volunteers Run Shed Fire In Mechanicsville

At 1450 hours Company 2 was dispatched to the 39000 Blk of Harpers Corner Road for a reported Brush Fire. Shortly After dispatch additional calls were received at the St. Mary's County Communications Center reporting a shed fire at the same location. The assignment was upgraded bringing Company 2, 7, Charles County Station 2, Truck 7, and EMS Station 29 to the scene. Brush 2 arrived first reporting a 10x15 shed on fire followed by Charles County Engine 22 who laid in and stretched a line to the shed. Engine 74 arrived next picking up Engine 22's Line and stretching a back up line to the fire. Truck 7 arrived shortly after and assisted in overhaul before wrapping up and returning to service. Units operated on the scene for approx. 1 hour before clearing. Captain 7 held the Harpers Corner Road Command.
