Company Triple Pulls for the 2nd Fire of the Day

At 1016 hours as Engine 74 was returning from a previous Box in Leonardtown, St. Mary's Communications dropped a reported House Fire at 42435 St. Margarets Drive in Leonardtown bringing Station 1, Station 7, Station 9, Station 6, Water Supply 5, EMS Station 19, and EMS Station 79 to the call. Engine 72, Engine 74, Truck 7, Chief 7, and Chief 7A made the response with 13 Volunteers.

With multiple unit in the area returning from the first call, Engine 11, Engine 14, Engine 74, Engine 93, Engine 63, Truck 1, and Chief 1 all arrived on the scene within minutes. Chief 1 established the "Command" and advised of a 1 story single family with fire showing from Side "Charlie" of the structure. Engine 74's crew was tasked with Truck duties and opened up for the fire attack. The crew of Engine 72 and Truck 7 worked together providing ventilation and a third attack line into the residence. Captain 7 was assigned the "Vent" Group Supervisor and Chief 7 was assigned the "Interior" Division. Companies found fire in several rooms of the structure including a Great Room with Cathedral Ceilings. Crews encountered fire in the attic area of the structure and dropped all the ceilings to extinguish the fire. Crews worked numerous hand lines to extinguish all visible fire and then started overhaul

At 1106 hours Command placed the fire under control and held all units for overhaul. The units from Hollywood remained on the scene until released by Command and returned to quarters at 1310 hours.
