| On Saturday Oct. 24, Hollywood Volunteers invited Ridge VFD, Waldorf VFD, and Hollywood VRS to particpate in a live-burn exercise in Hollywood. The house was donated by a local resident to Hollywood to use for training. The Volunteers took Brush 7, C-7, E-73, Tanker 7, Squad 7; Ridge brought up their boat; Waldorf brought down E-32; and Hollywood VRS brought an ambulance. Throughout the day volunteers from all the stations participated in several evolutions such as advancing attack lines, RIT, and roof ventilation. All enjoyed and learned from the evolutions, especially the new members from each department who participated in their first live-burn exercise. All who participated would like to thank the home owner for donating the house for us to safely train and refresh our fire suppression skills. |
