Rescue Squad Assists on Lexington Park Extrication

At 0335 hours Station 3, Rescue Engine 62, Rescue Squad 7, EMS Station 39, EMS Station 38, and St. Mary's ALS were dispatched to the intersection of Three Notch Road and Great Mills Road for a Motor Vehicle Accident with one person confirmed trapped. Rescue Squad 7 and Chief 7A responded shortly after dispatch with 6 Volunteers.

Rescue Squad 3 was first to arrive finding a single vehicle into a pole with one person trapped. Rescue Squad 3 went to work stabilizing the vehicle and started the extrication. Command requested Station 13 to respond on the call and Engine 132 and HazMat 13 were added. Rescue Squad 7 arrived on location at 0347 hours as Rescue Squad 3 was removing the roof. The Squad crew assisted with lifting the dash and removing the patient from the vehicle. Rescue Engine 62 was diverted to handle the Landing Zone in the area for Trooper 7.

The single patient was flown to Prince George's Trauma Center by Trooper 7 and Rescue Squad 7 cleared the scene and returned to quarters at 0420 hours.
