At 0951 hours Engine Compaines 9, 7, 3, and 13 along with Tower 9 and EMS Station 38 were dispatched to 23330 White Elm Court in Wildewood for the reported smoke inside a residence. Engine 73 (Capt. Tenaglia) was first to arrive reporting a two story single family dwelling with nothing evident. Upon arrival the crew was advised that there was smoke inside the basement of the home with a strong odor of electrical burning. The OIC from Engine 73 confirmed the report and was able to find the source, scaling the incident back at that point in time.

While operating on the scene at White Elm Court, a second House Fire was dispatched at 1005 hours in Company 1's area. The incident was at 40315 Breton Beach Road in Medleys Neck with initial reports of a well advanced fire through the roof. Engine 74 (Lt. Taylor) responded shortly after dispatch along with Chief 7 who was first to arrive on the scene reporting a single family dwelling with fire through the roof. The crew from Engine 74 was the third arriving Engine on the scene and was assigned to the Charlie Side to protect an exposure and eventually assisting in the fire attack along with salvage and overhaul. Engine 74 operated on the scene for approx. 3 hours before returning to service. Chief 7 held the Breton Beach Road Command
