Company Triple Pulls to Leonardtown House Fire

At 1959 hours Station 1, Station 5, Station 7, Station 2, EMS Station 19, and EMS Station 59 were dispatched to 22453 St. Clements Avenue for the reported House Fire. Engine 73, Engine 74, Truck 7(to fill the assignment for the Truck), and Chief 7B responded on the incident with 14 Volunteers.

Chief 1 was first to arrive reporting fire showing from all sides of a structure. Engine 10 was next to arrive placing an attack line and the wagon pipe in service. Engine 74 arrived moments later and supplied Engine 10 while the crew advanced a line to Side "Charlie" of the structure knocking down fire on the exterior then moving to the "Delta" exposure. Engine 73 arrived on location and advanced an attack line to the first floor extinguishing fire as they made a push. Truck 7 arrived on location and the crew was assigned to assist in the "Delta" exposure while the Truck Driver threw ladders and placed lights to the fire building. Once the "Delta" exposure was cleared Truck 7 moved to the first floor of the fire building with Engine 73 and assisted them with opening up and fire attack. Engine 74 was re-deployed to the basement and assisted with fire attack along with Engine 51. Chief 7B was assigned the Division 1 supervisor and worked with the units from Hollywood, Mechanicsville, and Leonardtown. The fire took an hour to be placed under control and the assignment was held with all units for extensive overhaul.

The units from Station 7 remained on the scene for over 3 hours assisting with overhaul before returning to quarters at 0009 hours. Chief 1 held the Command and one occupant of the residence was transported for smoke inhalation. The State Fire Marshals Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
