Engine and Tanker Respond To Calvert For The House Fire

On October 10th at 0447 hours Companies 9, and 7 were alerted to Calvert County to assist with a reported House On Fire. The Hollywood Volunteers responded with the Engine and Tanker shortly after dispatch with a total of 8 volunteers. While en route, units from Calvert County arrived on the scene reporting a fully involved structure fire and advised it would be a defensive operation. Engine 73 and Engine 74 arrived on the scene at 0513 hours and assisted with water supply, fire extinguishment, and overhaul operations. Once the fire was under control, personnel were allowed back inside of the residence and that is when units discovered one person deceased inside of the structure. The crew from Engine 73 and Engine 74 remained on the scene for a short time assisting with salvage and overhaul before returning to quarters at approx. 0800 hours.
