Pumper Tanker and Engine Run Camper Trailer Fire in Leonardtown

At 1955 hours Station 1 and Station 7 were alerted to 42847 Jetson Lane in Leonardtown for the report of a Camper Trailer on Fire. Engine 74 and Engine 72 made the response with 9 Volunteers.

While responding, Communications gave supplemental information that the Camper was next to a residence and an additional Tanker was added to the call. Engine 74 was first to arrive at 2002 hours finding a 36' Camper Trailer that was 100% involved. The crew of Engine 74 advanced an attack line to the fire and knocked the bulk of the fire within minutes utilizing the on board tank water. Engine 11 arrived next and placed a back up line in service with Engine 14 and Engine 72 arriving shortly after. The assignment was scaled back shortly after the arrival of the unis to Station 1 and 7 only. No extension was found to the residence and the fire was placed under control at 2007 hours.

Engine 74 and Engine 72 remained on the scene and performed overhaul before returning to service. All units from Station 7 were back in quarters at 2054 hours.
