At 1026 hours, while Engine 74 was backing into the Station from a fire alarm, Communications requested the Engine Company to respond on the Medical Call for an Injured Child who was kicked by a horse. Engine 72 made the response with 5 Volunteers to 43902 Upton Lane in Hollywood.

While responded, Communications advised they had started the MSP Aviation for transport due to the caller reporting a 5 year old who was unresponsive with a head injury. Engine 72 arrived on location and started a patient assessment while the Wagon Driver and Firefighter assessed a Landing Site on the scene. Paramedic Ambulance 796 arrived on the scene and both crews worked together to package the patient for transport.

Trooper 7 arrived at a Landing Zone near the scene and patient care was turned over to the Medic on board the Helo. Trooper 7 transported the patient to Children's Hospital in Washington D.C. for further treatment and care. Engine 72 returned to service and quarters a short time later.
