At 1755 hours Station 9 was dispatched for a reported Vehicle on Fire at the Base of the Thomas Johnson Bridge on Patuxent Beach Road. At 1757 hours the assignment was upgraded to a RV Fire adding Solomons Station 3 and Station 7 to the call. Engine 74 responded shortly after dispatch with 5 volunteers on the incident.

Utility 9 and Solomons Engine 34 were first to arrive finding a RV on fire and possibly a dog trapped. The crew from Engine 34 deployed a hand line knocking down the bulk of the fire within minutes. Engine 74 arrived next and supplied Engine 34 and assisted with performing overhaul to the RV. Engine 74 remained on the scene for a little over 30 minutes before returning to service. One dog perished in the fire after firefighters removed it.

Engine 74 returned to quarters at 1913 hours.
