Engine and Pumper Tanker to Morganza Barn Fire

At 0235 Station 1, Station 2, Station 5, Station 7, Station 9, EMS Station 19, and EMS Station 29 were dispatched to the area of Colton Point Road and Alvey Lane in Morganza for the reported House Fire. Engine 73, Engine 74, and Chief 7A responded on the incident with 8 Volunteers.

Chief 5A was first to arrive finding a 80x30 Barn that was on fire and confirming an address of 25155 Colton Point Road. Units from Station 1, Station 2, and Station 5 all arrived at the same time and advanced several attack lines to the structure. Chief 5 arrived on location and established the "Morganza Command" and advised that he would be holding all unit. Engine 73 and 74 arrived shortly after and supplied the units with water while the crews assisted with fire attack and overhaul.

Units from Station 7 remained on the scene for over an hour assisting crews with overhaul before the assignment was scaled back to Stations 1, 2, and 5. Units from Station 7 returned back to quarters at 0406 hours.

The State Fire Marshal's Office is handing the investigation and no injuries were reported.
