Rescue Squad on Another Extrication, this time in Loveville

At 0829 hours Station 1, Rescue Squad 7, EMS Station 19, EMS Station 79, and St. Mary's ALS were dispatched to Busy Corner Road and Loveville Road for a Motor Vehicle Accident with a Vehicle Overturned. Rescue Squad 7 made the response with 6 volunteers shortly after dispatch.

Rescue Squad 1 arrived on the scene of a single vehicle that was overturned with one occupant trapped. Rescue Squad 7 arrived on the scene moments later and both Companies went to work to stabilize the vehicle using the Paratech Air Shores. Once the vehicle was stabilized the members worked to free the trapped occupant by removing the roof and doors using the HURST Rescue Tools. The total extrication took approximately 20 minutes to complete and the patient was turned over to waiting EMS.

The patient was transported to St. Mary's Hospital as a priority 3 by Ambulance 198. Rescue Squad 7 picked up and returned to quarters at 0929 hours.
