Fatal Accident on North Sandgates Road

At 0225 hours Station 7, EMS Station 79, EMS Station 29 and the Medic Unit were dispatched to North Sandgates Road just in from Three Notch Road for a Motor Vehicle Accident. Rescue Squad 7, Engine 73, and Chief 7 responded with 11 Volunteers on the call. While responding Communications advised of a Medic on the scene reporting one priority 4 in the vehicle and possible 2 more serious injured patients outside the vehicle. Chief 7 requested that the Helo be dispatched with that information and had Engine 73 report to a Landing Site. Chief 7 arrived on the scene finding a single vehicle in the roadway with a pole cut in half. Rescue Squad 7 arrived next and the crew went to work assisting with patient care and securing the vehicle. The crew assisted with the packaging of both patients and they were transported to the Lading Site. Trooper 7 transported both patient to the Trauma Center as Priority 2 Traumas. Units from Station 7 remained on the scene and assisted the MSP for a short time before returning to quarters at 0355 hours. The Officers and Member of Hollywood VFD wish to send our condolences to the families and friends involved in this incident.
