At 1409 hours Station 7 and Station 3 were alerted as part of the Working Fire Dispatch to 2715 Spout Ln in Lusby for the Working House Fire. Units from Solomons, St. Leonard, California, and Prince Frederick were already on the street reporting a large column of black smoke coming from that area. Engine 74 responded with 4 volunteers shortly after dispatch on the run. Solomons Chief 3 arrived on the scene of a large 2 story single family with fire showing from an attached garage. Units from the first alarm arrived on the scene and attempted an aggressive interior attack before being pulled out of the structure to go defensive. Engine 74 arrived on the scene and went to work with the other companies on the scene operating a hand line on the structure and the many exposures. Engine 74 remained on the scene for approximately 2 hours before returning to service.
