Auto Fire Next to House

At 1609 hours Station 7 was dispatched to 26455 Reed Ct in Oakville for the auto on fire. Prior to any units responding the assignment was upgraded to a House fire adding Station 2 and EMS Station 79 to the call. Engine 73, Engine 74, Truck 7, Rescue Squad 7, Chief 7, and Chief 7A all responded to the call. Chief 7 was first to arrive reporting a van with an engine compartment off and minor extension to the house, holding the assignment as is. Engine 73 arrived next laying a supply line and advancing a hand line to the van. The crew of Engine 73 made quick work of the auto fire and started to check for extension to the house. Once the fire was out Command held 2 and 1 and returned the rest of the units. Engine 73, Engine 24, and Truck 7 remained on the scene and checked for any vertical extension and found none. All units cleared the scene and returned to quarters at 1652 hours.
