Hollywood VFD Responds First Due To MVA With One Vehicle On It’s Side

At approximately 1740 hours Wednesday, 12 April 2023, Station 7 was dispatched to the 24400 block of Hollywood Road for a Motor Vehicle Accident with one trapped. Rescue Squad 7, Engine 72, Chief 7 (Rogers) and Chief 7A (Rector) responded shortly after dispatch with 12 Volunteers. Chief 7 (Rogers) and Rescue Squad 7 arrived on the scene to find a 2 vehicle collision with one vehicle on its side with an occupant still inside. The crew of the Rescue Squad quickly deployed the "Tie-Back" kit to stabilize the vehicle. Engine 72 arrived and deployed an attack line for protection while the Squad crew removed the window of the vehicle. Once the vehicle was stabilized, the single occupant was assisted out of the vehicle and turned over to EMS personnel. One patient was transported with minor injuries to St. Mary's Hospital and Units on the scene picked up and returned to service. The Units from Station 7 returned to quarters at 1804 hours and Chief 7 (Rogers) held the Hollywood Command.
