Hollywood VFD Responds To Working Barn Fire At Potomac Motor Speedway In Budds Creek

At approximately 1845 hours Saturday, 24 December 2022, Truck 7 was dispatched to the Potomac Motor Speedway in the 27900 block of Budds Creek Road for the Structure Fire. Truck 7 and Chief 7A (Rector) responded with 7 Volunteers shortly after dispatch. Charles County Chief 1017 arrived on the scene to find a 75x25 Barn with fire throughout. Tanker 74 was added to the run and responded with 4 additional Volunteers at dispatch. Truck 7 and Tanker 74 arrived on the scene and assisted with fire attack and overhaul. Tanker 74 was utilized to shuttle water during the incident. The fire was brought under control within an hour. The Units from Station 7 remained on the scene assisting with opening up and overhaul. Truck 7 and Tanker 74 were released from the scene and returned to quarters at 2115 hours. Charles County Fire Chief 1017 (Kaufman) held the Budds Creek Road Command.
