Hollywood VFD Responds To Motor Vehicle Collision Involving Dump Truck And Semi

At approximately 0930 hours Thursday, 25 August 2022, Station 7 was dispatched to the intersection of Three Notch Road and Airport View Drive for a Motor Vehicle Accident involving a Commercial Vehicle. Rescue Squad 7, Engine 72, and Utility 7 responded shortly after dispatch with 10 Volunteers. Rescue Squad 7 arrived on the scene to find a Dump Truck, that was carrying asphalt millings, on it's side and on top of a lowboy trailer being pulled by a semi. Crews immediately surveyed the scene and determined no injuries from the collision. Safety 7 (Insley) established Command and requested Hazmat Resources to respond, bringing Hazmat 13 and 18. The Members of Hollywood VFD worked with the Hazmat crews to contain and start the clean up process. Maryland State Highway also responded along with the Tow Company to upright the vehicle and clean the roadway. Once the Dump Truck was up righted, the scene was turned over to the Company Owners and Police. The Units from Station 7 cleared the scene and returned to quarters at 1243 hours.
