Hollywood VFD Responds To First Due Garage Fire

At approximately 2045 hours Tuesday, 25 May 2022, Station 7 was dispatched to the 26400 block of Three Notch Road in Oakville for the reported Garage Fire. Engine 73, Tanker 74, Truck 7, Rescue Squad 7, Chief 7, Chief 7A, and Chief 7B responded at dispatch with 22 Volunteers. Chief 7 (Rogers) arrived on the scene to find a 40x40 Garage with fire throughout the entire structure. Engine 73 arrived, laying a supply line from the road, and deploying several attack lines to the structure. Tanker 74 arrived and picked up the supply line for Engine 73. Truck 7 arrived and positioned for ladder pipe operations with the Rescue Squad positioning out of the way. The crews from Hollywood operated on several handlines with the Squad and Truck crews opening up for the Engines. The bulk of the fire was knocked down in less than 30 minutes and the assignment was scaled back to the Units from Station 7, 2, 1, Engine 91(at the draft site), and all the Tankers. Crews worked on the scene for an additional hour and a half performing overhaul and assisting the FM's before being released. Command held the Units from Station 7 and terminated Command at 2242 hours. Chief 7 (Rogers) held the Command with Chief 7B (Tatum) as the Attack Group Supervisor.
