At approximately 1340 hours Sunday 24 April 2022, Truck 7 and Engine 7 were dispatched to the 26800 block of Erin Drive for the Shed Fire. Truck 7, Engine 74, and Chief 7B (Tatum) responded with 9 Volunteers shortly after dispatch. First arriving units from Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department, INC. found a 30x30 shed fully involved with no exposures. Truck 7 arrived on the scene and assisted with overhaul. The fire was placed under control and the assignment was scaled back to the units from Mechanicsville, Hughesville, and Truck 7. Chief 2B (R. Raley)held the Command and Truck 7 returned to quarters at 1450 hours.
