At approximately 1545 hours Thursday, 28 October 2021, Rescue Squad 7 was clearing a crash in the north end of the first due as St. Mary's ECC was dispatching a serious collision on Point Lookout Road in Mechanicsville's first due. Rescue Squad 7 requested to respond on the incident and responded with 8 Volunteers. First arriving units from Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department, INC. found a two vehicle collision with one person pinned. Rescue Squad 7 arrived on the scene and went to work with the crew of Squad 2 to free the occupant of the vehicle. Crews extricated the occupant in 20 minutes and turned over care to EMS on the scene. Both patients were transported via MSP Aviation to a Trauma Center. Rescue Squad 7 picked up and returned to service a short time later. Chief 2 (Trowbridge) held the Mechanicsville Command.
