***Fire at Mechanicsville 7/11***

At approximately 0445 hours, Sunday 25 July 2021, Truck 7 and Tanker 7 were dispatched for the building fire at the Mechanicsville 7/11. Truck 7 and Tanker 74 responded shortly after dispatch with 8 Volunteers. First arriving units from Station 2 found a one story convenience store with smoke showing. The Engine from Station 2 found a couple racks on fire and extinguished the same. Truck 7 arrived on location on side A of the building shortly after. The crew laddered the structure, opened up for the Engine, and started ventilation. Tanker 74 arrived on the scene and staged. Command held the units from Station 2, Engine 1002, and Truck 7. Truck 7 remained on the scene assisting with overhaul and completed ventilation. Truck 7 returned to quarters at 0600 hours. Chief 2A (John Raley) held the Mechanicsville Command.
