At approximately 1215 hours on Saturday, 26 June 2021, Tanker 7 was alerted for the House Fire in the 27300 block of Birch Manor Circle in Mechanicsville. Tanker 74 responded with 4 Volunteers shortly after dispatch. First arriving units from Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department, INC. Found a one story single family home with fire showing. Tanker 74 arrived and was part of the water supply with the crew assisting with opening up and checking for extension. Majority of the fire was knocked by the first arriving units and the assignment was scaled back to units from Station 2, Tanker 74, and Tanker 14. One burn patient was found in the front yard on arrival and was transported by MSP Aviation to a hospital for treatment. Tanker 74 operated for just under an hour before returning to service. Chief 2 (Trowbridge) served as the Attack Group Supervisor and Chief 2B (R. Raley) held the Mechanicsville Command.
