Hollywood VFD Responds To Serious Motor Vehicle Accident In First-Due

Just prior to 1430 hours on Tuesday, 4 May 2021, Station 7 was dispatched to the 24600 block of Hollywood Road for a Motor Vehicle Collision with a person trapped. Rescue Squad 7, Engine 72, and Chief 7 (Brady) responded with 10 Volunteers shortly after dispatch. Units arrived on location within two minutes of dispatch to find a single vehicle into a tree with the driver trapped. Crews went to work utilizing the HURST Rescue Tools to quickly extricate the priority 1 trapped driver. Once the driver was extricated, they were turned over to EMS on scene. Ambulance 796 transported with Medics on board to St. Mary's Hospital priority 1 with CPR in progress. Rescue Squad 7 and Engine 72 cleared the scene and returned to quarters at 2:52. Chief 7 (Brady) held the Hollywood Command.
