Hollywood VFD Responds To Large Woods / Brush Fire At Myrtle Point State Park

At approximately 1800 hours Wednesday 10 March 2021, Station 7 was dispatched to assist on a Brush Fire at Myrtle Point Park in Station 9's first due. Jeep 7, Brush 7, Tanker 74, Chief 7 (Brady) and Chief 7A (Rogers) responded with 9 Volunteers. The Units from Station 7 arrived and assisted on the fire ground. Members stretched a 350' attack line from Tanker 74 while Brush 7 deployed both hose reels to start fire suppression. Engine 73 was added to the run with an additional 4 Volunteers to assist. Crews worked for over an hour and a half knocking fire and hitting hot spots. The units from Station 7 cleared the scene and returned to service at 2000 hours. Chief 3A (Bussler) held the Myrtle Point Command.
