Hollywood VFD Responds To Structure Fire iIn Avenue

At approximately 0245 hours Friday, 19 February 2021, Engine 7 and Truck 7 were alerted for a Building Fire in the 22000 block of Whites Neck Road in Avenue. Engine 72 and Truck 7 responded with 9 Volunteers shortly after dispatch. First arriving units from Seventh District Volunteer Fire Department found a 30x50 storage building with fire throughout. Tanker 74 was added to the incident and responded with 2 additional Volunteers. Truck 7 arrived on location and took a position near the structure. The crew of Truck 7 assisted with opening up and assisted the Engine Companies with Fire Attack. Engine 72 and Tanker 74 arrived and assisted with water supply and Fire Attack. The units from Station 7 remained on the scene for several hours assisting with overhaul and hitting hot spots. Truck 7 and Tanker 74 cleared this fire to run a second fire in Leonardtown at 0435 hours. Engine 72 remained on the scene and returned to quarters at 0650 hours. Chief 5 (J. A. Nelson) held the Command and no injuries were reported.
