At approximately 1915 hours on Monday, 15 February 2021, Engine 7 and Truck 7 were alerted for a House fire in the 37200 block of Gibson Road in Avenue. Engine 72, Truck 7, Chief 7A, and Chief 7B responded with 16 Volunteers. First arriving units from Seventh District Volunteer Fire Department found a 1 story single family home with fire showing. The Units from Station 7 arrived and assisted with Fire Attack and Overhaul. Engine 72 and Truck 7 remained on the scene for little over 2 hours before being released from the scene. Chief 7A and Chief 7B operated in supervisory roles during the incident. All searches were negative of the structure. One occupant and 2 firefighters were transported from the scene for evaluations. Chief 5 held the Avenue Command.

We want to wish all that were transported to the hospital a speedy recovery, especially the 2 firefighters from Station 5.
