Hollywood VFD Responds to Structure Fire in Lexington Park

At approximately 2345 hours Thursday, 14 January 2021, Tanker 74 was alerted for the reported house fire in the 19400 block of Three Notch Road in Lexington Park. Tanker 74 and Chief 7A (Rogers) responded with 7 Volunteers shortly after dispatch. First arriving unit found a 2 story single family home with fire showing from both floors. While Tanker 74 was responding, Truck 7 was added to the incident and responded with 4 additional Volunteers. Tanker 74 arrived on location and assisted with the Water Supply shuttling 4 loads of water to the scene. The crew of Tanker 74 stood by on Side A while defensive operations were ongoing to knock down the bulk of the fire. Once Command determined it was safe, the crew of Tanker 74 transitioned to the first floor to assist with fire attack. The crew then stretched a line over a ladder to the second floor to extinguish the remaining fire. Truck 7 arrived and assisted units on the scene with overhaul. The Units from Station 7 remained on the scene for over 2 hours assisting with extinguishing hot spots and performing overhaul. Tanker 74 returned to quarters at 0230 hours. All occupants were accounted for an uninjured during the incident. They are being assisted by the Red Cross. Chief 3 (Gould) held the Lexington Park Command. The fire is being investigated by the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office.
