At approximately 1930 hours on Friday, 8 January 2021, Station 7 was dispatched to the 43700 block of Sandy Bottom Road for a possible garage fire. Engine 73, Truck 7, Tanker 74, Chief 7 (Brady) and Chief 7B (Rector) responded shortly after dispatch with 14 Volunteers. Chief 7 (Brady) arrived on location of a 20x20 detached garage with nothing evident. Engine 73 arrived, laying a supply line into the scene and advanced an attack line to the structure. Crews found fire in the walls around a wood stove flu pipe. Truck 7 arrived and opened up for the Engine Company who extinguished all visible fire. Tanker 74 arrived and picked up the Supply line. The assignment was scaled back to the units from Station 7 only and returned the rest. Crews checked for further extension and found none. The units from Station 7 operated on the scene for 20 minutes before picking up and returning to service. The units returned to quarters at 2030 hours. Chief 7 (Brady) held the Hollywood Command.
