As you deck the halls this holiday season, be fire smart. A small fire that spreads to a Christmas Tree can grow large very quickly. It appears that Christmas Trees have been put up sooner this season because occupants of their home have had more time to prepare in putting up their trees and decorations because of the COVID pandemic. We ask all citizens within our community to please ensure you keep a close eye on a real Christmas Tree and monitor it’s health. It needs to have plenty of water and do not let the tree get extremely dried out, resulting in a higher fire risk. The following are some great tips to follow. Be Safe and Happy Holidays to all citizens within our community from the Officers and Members of the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary.
