At approximately 1036 hours on Thursday, September 3, 2020, HVFD Tanker 74 and Rescue Squad 7 were alerted to the 9400 block of H.G. Trueman Road in Calvert County, MD for the report of house fire. Tanker 74, Rescue Squad 7, and Fire Chief 7 responded with 9 volunteers. First arriving units found fire showing from the roof and requested a tanker task force. Tanker 74 arrived on the scene and went to work assisting with water supply, while the crew made their way to the fire floor, opening up and assisting with fire attack. Rescue Squad 7 then arrived and operated as the first due special service, laddering the structure, completing searches and later opening up for fire attack. The fire was brought under control in 30 minutes, units then completed overhaul and returned to service at 1246 hours.
