At approximately 1545 hours on Monday, August 31, 2020, while some of our members were on the way to Airport Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) class at BWI airport, they came across an accident in the 26000 block of Three Notch Road in Hillville. Car 7 requested the Rescue assignment be dispatched for a collision with a person trapped. Lieutenant 7(Insley) established the Hollywood Command while the rest of the members assisted with patient care and preparing for extrication. Rescue Squad 7 and Engine 73 responded shortly after dispatch with 8 additional Volunteers. Rescue Squad's 7 and 2 arrived and went to work utilizing the HURST Jaws of Life removing the roof and doors to free the trapped occupant. The patient was turned over to EMS and transported to a local trauma center. Command was terminated and units returned to service. This is another great example of the outstanding team work our Volunteers have here in St. Mary's County.
