On Saturday 15 August 2020, Hollywood VFD Rescue Squad 7 assisted with the MFRI ARFF(Aircraft Fire and Rescue) class that 8 of our members are enrolled in. Rescue Squad 7 is equipped with numerous extrication and specialized rescue tools. This Specialized Unit responds to aircraft emergencies in the 1st due and within St. Mary's County. With the St. Mary's County Airport being in our first due and Patuxent River Naval Air Station being within our Box Alarm area, we encourage our members to take this additional training so they have a better understanding of airport fire and rescue. This class is 48 hours and specializes in different techniques and tactics for aircraft emergencies. Our members are always looking for ways to improve and learn new techniques in the fire and rescue field.
If you are looking to be apart of our team, please check out our recruitment page on www.hvfd7.com. We are always looking for highly motivated individuals and those that have prior experience.
