Door Removal on Three Notch Road

On Saturday, October 7th, at 1721 hours Company 7 was alerted to intersection of Three Notch Rd. and Airport Rd. for the reported Motor Vehicle Accident. Squad 7 along with Engine 73 responded shortly after dispatch with a total of 8 volunteers.

Squad 7 arrived on location to find two vehicles off the roadway with minor damage and assumed the "Three Notch Road Command". An ambulance from Station 38, who arrived on location shortly before, advised that they were unable to safely remove one of the patients and requested the patient be extricated. Volunteers from Squad 7 and Engine 73 began to stabalize the vehicle and started to go to work removing the patient. The Squad removed both of the driver-side doors along with the 'B' post. Once extrication was complete, the patient was turned over to the Ambulance 387 which transported the patient Priority II to St. Mary's Hospital. The ambulance from Company 79 obtained three signed refusal's. Shortly after, Squad 7 terminated the 'Three Notch Road Command' and the box was placed in service.
