At 1450 hours, Station 7, EMS Station 79, and EMS Station 19 were dispatched to the intersection of Hollywood Road and Morgan Road for a Motor Vehicle Accident. Rescue Squad 7, Engine 72, and Chief 7A responded at dispatch with 9 Volunteers.

The units from Hollywood arrived on location to find a two vehicle collision with one vehicle straddling a ditch and a single occupant still in the vehicle. Crews immediately went to work stabilizing the vehicle and surveying the scene for injuries. Crews found a total of 3 pediatric patients and 1 adult patient with injuries. After evaluating the occupant in the vehicle, crews deemed it necessary to remove the passengers side doors and the roof to remove the occupant safely. Chief 7A assumed the "Hollywood" Command with Captain 7 taking the Extrication group supervisor. The crews utilized the HURST Extrication tools to remove both doors and the roof, completing the extrication and removing the occupant in less than 15 minutes.

All patients were turned over to EMS on the scene with Ambulance 796 and 799 transporting to St. Mary's Hospital. Command was terminated and all units returned to quarters at 1531 hours.
